Your data in view

This notice explains the personal-information practices of this editorial website and its local message-preparation tool.

Who is responsible

The controller is Spritzmysteryparcl Ltd, 27 George Street, Edinburgh EH2 2PA, United Kingdom; company no. SC784216. Contact [email protected] for privacy enquiries.

Browsing and technical information

When you request a page, the hosting infrastructure receives technical information such as your IP address, request time, requested resource, browser information and connection status. This is needed to deliver content and may be recorded for security, fault diagnosis and abuse prevention. The site’s own application code does not add analytics, advertising pixels, account registration or behavioural profiling.

Where technical information is processed for secure operation, the basis is our legitimate interest in providing and protecting the website. This interest must be balanced against visitors’ rights. Technical records should be retained only as long as needed for those purposes or applicable legal obligations, rather than indefinitely.

The local compose tool

Name, email and message fields are used in your browser to construct a plain-text brief. The tool has no submission endpoint and does not send those entries to us. Its scripts do not save the entries in cookies or local storage. Your browser may separately restore form values or offer autofill according to its settings.

Choosing Copy brief writes the prepared text to your clipboard, subject to browser permission. Choosing Download brief creates a text file on your device. You control those copies and should remove them from shared devices when appropriate. Closing the page is not a guarantee that your browser will erase its own restored form state.

If you email us

If you choose to send a message through your own email service, we receive your address, message content and associated email metadata. We use them to consider your enquiry, respond where appropriate and handle corrections or rights requests. Our usual basis is legitimate interest in managing correspondence; a legal obligation may apply to particular requests or records.

We retain correspondence while needed for the enquiry and a proportionate record of its resolution. Legal claims, security incidents or statutory duties may require longer retention. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information or personal data about other people.

Providers and international processing

Hosting and email service providers may process information on our behalf as required to deliver their services. We do not sell personal information. Where personal information is transferred outside the United Kingdom, applicable transfer safeguards must be used where required, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual protection.

External websites

Following a source link takes you to a separate website with its own privacy practices. Your browser may provide referrer information according to its settings and the applicable browser policy. We do not control the collection or booking systems of the venues linked from our articles.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your information, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Rights are subject to legal conditions and exceptions.

Email us with enough detail to understand the request. We may need proportionate identity confirmation before disclosing personal information. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or another competent supervisory authority.

Cookies and changes

Read the cookie notice for browser-storage information. If practices change, this notice should be updated to reflect them. No consent-dependent tracking is implemented by the site’s supplied editorial scripts.
